Man, it seems like it’s been forever since I took any pictures when I’ve gone riding… Which is too bad, because riding and not capturing some of it with pictures or video isn’t nearly as fun. Though I really have to get someone else to take some pictures of me too. Ahh well, after a great day at the track, who cares, just so long as you get some photos. Well, I did in fact get some.

Track conditions have certainly been better, and arm pump seemed to be the main course. But the riding was still good and the company even better. The pictures are of my Nephew, my Brother-in-law (father to the nephew), and my brother. [Read more →]

A funny thing happened the other evening. I had decided to sell our LEM 50cc motorcycle as my boys are getting bigger, and I have 3 50cc motorcycles. Back in the day that was okay, but they are all a lot bigger, so they don’t enjoy riding the 50’s any more. I still need one bike for my 7 year old, but otherwise it’s time to upgrade.

So Saturday evening I went outside to clean the LEM and get some pictures of it to post it for sale on our local TV stations web site (sell.ksl.com). I was just touching up and re-sizing the photos of the LEM to post online, when my son called (he was at a friends) to ask if he could go with his good buddy to ride their 4-wheeler in a field near our home. I have been bugging my brother-in-law to call me and tell me when he’s going riding so I could come out and enjoy the fun and live vicariously though him (being bike-less just stinks).

Over the last few weeks he has been calling me and telling me when and where he would be riding, which up to this point has not been a good time for me at all. But this last week, I just had to go — I only had 30 minutes, but I needed a fix, and wanted to get some pictures and see the changes they made to the Jordan River OHV Park track (it’s under new management). I recently heard that the Desert Peak Motocross Facility (Tooele MX) had changed up parts of the track. Since this track is my local track I had to go check it out. Though I did not have a bike, I still had to go see it. I really like the changes.

This last week I had to go to Indiana to get some dental work done from a very good friend there. While I was there, I had the opportunity to head north to Howe, IN, where another very good friend lives that also just happens to have a 2008 Honda CRF450R, and a motocross track in his back yard (he has 5 acres). I’m just a normal guy that love anything and everything to do with Motocross (MX). I love shooting (with my camera) any event, be it on the small local level or on the large national level.

I do ride mx as well, but I wouldn’t consider myself very good, but I love it, so who cares.
