MX Sports Announces ’09 Outdoor Schedule and Format

This is simply a repeat of what you can find posted over on Cycle News –> MX Sports Announces ’09 Outdoor Schedule and Format. But I thought it was certainly note worthy for those who don’t read Cycle News very often.

This personally has me pretty excited.  More TV Coverage, the class names are changed to 250 and 450 respectively, and the races will be held on Saturday (all but one anyway). [Read more →]

2008 Motocross Nationals are Here!

Glen Helen here we come!

Although it’s been a great supercross season, we are at the eve of the 2008 Motocross Nationals, and I couldn’t be more excited. Sure supercross is enjoyable to watch, but it’s just not the nationals. I prefer the Nationals 2 to 1 over Supercross any day of the week. Their is just something special about 30 minutes + 2 laps x 2 that is just awesome. [Read more →]

2008 Seattle Supercross

Wow is all I can say. I’m not sure how many of us out here in Internet-dom have seen or even follow the Supercross series. I’m not even sure how many of you actually get the SPEED channel (I don’t–but then again, I don’t have cable/satellite either :) ). There have been a handful of the Supercross events on CBS as well, but not nearly enough to get the complete picture of how great a season this has been.

We have had a lot of Supercross season’s over the last few years that were dominated by the GOAT (Ricky Carmichael), and then came #7, a.k.a. James Stewart who has done the same thing. Which for the fan really makes for some boring races. No one really enjoys watching everyone else race for 2nd place. I know I don’t. Although watching the two best riders to ever to put a leg over a motorcycle, is certainly awesome, but watching action packed racing is a lot more enjoyable. [Read more →]

Congratulations Team Honda and Davi Millsaps

I just finished watching the 2008 Atlanta Supercross, Supercross Class race, and wow, what a barn burner. I have been a Honda fan since I bought my first real MX bike in 2002 (2003 CRF450R), so I’ve always been a fan of anyone on a Honda when it comes to racing.

Well the Atlanta race was spectacular if you are a Honda fan, because Honda took 1, 2, & 3 for a RED sweep of the podium. [Read more →]

1997 Las Vegas 125cc Supercross

I am truly a fan of older supercross racing, and I spend probably way too much time looking for old races to watch. I’m not even sure how I found this one? You are about to watch the 1997 Las Vegas 125cc Supercross, East vs West shootout. [Read more →]

With James Stewart out for the season (injured left knee), and a 19 point lead over 2nd place Kevin Windham, is the 2008 Supercross Championship Chad Reed’s to lose? [Read more →]

2008 Anaheim II Retro-Night Pre-Racing

Some of the guys over at Allthingsmoto.com have started a thread titled “Retro Night Coming Up. How ’bout Some Vids.” If you love racing, and I do, you need to check this out. Talk about some awesome racing video of some “retro” races held in Anaheim stadium in the ’80’s. [Read more →]

MX of Nations To Return To The U.S.

Good News for Motocross Fans (that’s me :) - hopefully you too!)

Kit Palmer of Cycle News reported on 01/17/2008 that Giuseppe Luongo (President of Youthstream) has plans to start bringing two (2) FIM World Motocross (MX) events to the U.S. starting in 2009, then again in 2011, with 2 rounds per year continuing through 2016. They also have plans starting in 2010 to bring the Motocross of Nations (MXoN, aka MXdN) back to the U.S. every third (3rd) year. [Read more →]

2008 Anaheim I Supercross

After watching Anaheim I Supercross, I just wanted to put down my thoughts.

How about the Lites class! Man what a barn burner. Great racing.

  3. Justin Brayton (114 — GREAT ride for him)
