2008 Seattle Supercross

Wow is all I can say. I’m not sure how many of us out here in Internet-dom have seen or even follow the Supercross series. I’m not even sure how many of you actually get the SPEED channel (I don’t–but then again, I don’t have cable/satellite either :) ). There have been a handful of the Supercross events on CBS as well, but not nearly enough to get the complete picture of how great a season this has been.

We have had a lot of Supercross season’s over the last few years that were dominated by the GOAT (Ricky Carmichael), and then came #7, a.k.a. James Stewart who has done the same thing. Which for the fan really makes for some boring races. No one really enjoys watching everyone else race for 2nd place. I know I don’t. Although watching the two best riders to ever to put a leg over a motorcycle, is certainly awesome, but watching action packed racing is a lot more enjoyable. [Read more →]

Honda XR400 Service Manual

I recently obtained the Honda XR400 Service Manual and wanted to share. Apparently, this manual is for all Honda XR400’s from all years. I only know that is has comments about Pre-1996 and Post-1996 bikes.

If you do any amount of maintenance on your steed, you absolutely want / need the service manual. [Read more →]

Yamaha Motorcycle Owners Manuals

Dano426 over on All Things Moto! posted a link to download Yamaha Motorcycle and Scooter owners manuals in PDF format. I thought this should be shared here as well, since I know there are a lot of bike owners out there that for some reason didn’t come with the owners manual when purchased 2nd hand. [Read more →]

Tooele UT Motocross Track (Desert Peak) Pictures

I recently heard that the Desert Peak Motocross Facility (Tooele MX) had changed up parts of the track. Since this track is my local track I had to go check it out. Though I did not have a bike, I still had to go see it. I really like the changes.

For those of you that are familiar with the track, the back rythm section has been changed from: [Read more →]

Motocross Neck Protection — Leatt Brace Ride Review

I don’t know if you know this… but Motocross is a dangerous sport :) One of the guys over on All Things Moto runs a line in his signature that says “I once read about the dangers of motocross. I almost gave up reading.” I laughed when I read it, but it’s true. Riding motorcycles in any form is dangerous. However, there are measures we can all take to limit the liability we incur when we go riding. I could name all the protective gear you should have and wear (actually wearing it is very KEY :) ), like helmets, gloves, goggles, etc… but I won’t bore you with the details. [Read more →]

Motocross.com’s review of the Easton EXP Bars

While checking out motocross.com today, I came accross a video review they did on the Easton EXP Bars and had to post it.

Since these bars are yet to be available (at least as far as I know), rider reviews are pretty tough to come by. [Read more →]

Motoman Motocross Invitational II (MMI II) Pre-ride Report

This last week I had to go to Indiana to get some dental work done from a very good friend there. While I was there, I had the opportunity to head north to Howe, IN, where another very good friend lives that also just happens to have a 2008 Honda CRF450R, and a motocross track in his back yard (he has 5 acres).
